Step into a full weekend experience designed for romance readers. Meet your favourite authors, discover new books, and soak up an atmosphere full of connection, excitement, and feel-good moments.

What to Expect

• 400 romance authors signing across the weekend, including indie and traditionally published
• Headlining authors: K.A Knight, Jodi Ellen Malpas, Sadie Kincaid, L.J. Shen, Avina St. Graves, Sierra Simone, Julie Murphy, Leigh Rivers and Amy Daws
• Author panels and Q&As
• Pop-up bookshop by Happily Ever After Bookshop
• Community meetups and reader spaces
• Carnival stalls, games, and a tarot reader
• Fair rides including a Ferris wheel
• Food trucks and a fully covered food hall
• Evening live music with a festival-style party atmosphere

The event takes place within a festival-style setup at Aintree Racecourse.

The signing hall is a fully indoor, accessible space with hard flooring. The food hall, author panels, pop-up bookshop, and live music are also all located indoors.

Outdoor elements include the fairground rides and carnival stalls and games, which will be open to the weather.

Camping Option

Make a full weekend of it with optional 2-night camping on the iconic Aintree Racecourse.

Your camping ticket includes:
• A pitch for your tent
• Access to showers and toilet facilities

You’re welcome to share a tent with friends, but everyone staying on-site must have a weekend + camping ticket. Please note that BBQs and open flames are not permitted.

Important Information

Accessibility
The event takes place on grass, but all main areas and indoor spaces are accessible via pathways.

• Seating areas throughout the festival
• On-site medics present

Carer Tickets
Carer tickets are avaliable for £15 (this covers all areas of the event, including early entry if required. One ticket will cover both days if needed). Carer tickets are for those going in a caregiver/assisting role only and are not able to participate in book purchasing and signing.
Once you’ve purchased your ticket, email info@heabookshop.com with your order number and access card to request your carer ticket.

Entry & Re-entry
You can come and go throughout the day using your wristband, including returning later for the evening music and entertainment.

Arrival Times

To help manage traffic and queues, arrival times vary depending on your ticket type and how you travel.

If arriving by public transport or on foot:
• Camping ticket holders and Early Riser ticket holders can arrive from 9:00 AM
• All other ticket holders can access the festival grounds from 10:00 AM (food, fair, shop, etc.)
• Access to the signing hall will depend on your ticket type

If arriving by car and parking on-site:
• Camping: from 8:00 AM
• Early Riser: from 9:00 AM
• Early Bird: from 10:00 AM
• General Admission: from 11:00 AM

Please arrive within your allocated time. Early arrivals may be refused entry, and arriving late may result in longer queue times.

Parking

• On-site parking will be available for a small charge (pre-booking required, details coming soon)
• Limited free disabled parking is available

To book a free disabled parking space, further instructions will be provided in the coming months. A valid Blue Badge must be displayed.

Aintree Racecourse is easily accessible by train, with Aintree Station located directly opposite and just 10 minutes from Liverpool Central.

Quiet Spaces
Designated rest and recharge areas will be available if you need a break from the crowds.

Fast Pass (Optional Add-On)

Fast Pass allows you to skip the queue twice for headlining authors.

• £25 per day
• One Fast Pass per person, per day
• Extremely limited availability
• Valid for headlining authors only

Everyone using the Fast Pass lane must have their own pass. Carers are exempt when accompanying a guest, as they are not getting books signed themselves.

Refunds
Tickets are non-refundable. However, they can be resold or transferred to another person if needed.

Is the event accessible?
Yes. The signing hall and all main indoor areas are fully accessible with hard flooring. Accessible paths run across the site, with disabled toilets, seating areas, and on-site medics available.

Can I leave and come back?
Yes, your wristband allows re-entry throughout the day, including returning for evening music.

Is there parking?
Yes. Paid parking will be available (pre-booking required, details coming soon). Limited free disabled parking is also available, with booking instructions to follow.

Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable, but can be resold or transferred to another person.
