Our contractor declared bankruptcy and we now have to leave our bookstore opening into the hands of a professional hockey team.
Thankfully, the guys are also skilled off the ice and dedicated to help us make our dream come true.

Particularly, Maxime, my friend’s brother who’s a relentless flirt with a goofy personality.
And as hot as he might be, I don’t do boyfriends. Unless they’re made of ink and paper and have shifting abilities, I’m out.

Plus, I don’t get why Maxime Beaumont, a rising star in the NHL, would take an interest in me. I’m far from the gorgeous specimen asking for his autographs or throwing their bras on the ice.

But when I make the mistake of recommending books to him, he gets pointers from the best book boyfriends out there, and starts texting me about books, throwing words like HEA and tropes like it’s always been part of his vocabulary.

It was hard enough to resist him before but now I don’t think I stand a chance.
