Liss is an average twenty-something bartender until she learns that her grandma had an affair with the king decades ago and that she might be his granddaughter.
The dying king's announcement throws Liss into a world of paparazzi, royal parties, and threats. But it also gives her hope that she could finally be part of a family, something she's wanted her whole life. Now she has to decide if she's ready to give up everything to be a princess.
Bear, her swoonworthy new bodyguard must protect Liss from danger. He’s cheeky, grumpy, and has secret tattoos beneath his suits. He’s also stubborn and bossy and clashes with Liss constantly. But Bear has a soft side too. He sits with Liss when she sleeps to make sure she doesn’t have nightmares and helps her manage her anxiety attacks.
It's not long before all the bickering and tension morphs into sizzling hot chemistry. Both Liss and Bear know that giving into their attraction is a terrible idea...but it's getting harder to fight their feelings for each other.

This was my first ever book by Rebecca, as I loved the premise of the story. I found it such as easy read, and if I had the time, I wouldn't have stopped reading it!!!
Absolutely loved Liss and Bear's story and although initially distrustful of each other, I liked how they were able to find, take comfort and look out for each other, during the times when they were facing various sets of circumstances they found themselves in.
This story is not overly spicy, and also not too angsty or full of tension.
It was a really enjoyable read and I hope to read more of Rebecca's books again in the future.
